Questions from employers
Who employs the candidate?
You do. The employment contract is between your hotel and the person you hire, and you pay their salary directly. Zavio is the intermediary: we make the introduction and we arrange the journey. We are never the employer.
What exactly does the fee cover?
€950 covers the introduction, the coordination, and their whole journey: a return trip in economy class between their country and yours, one checked bag, and the transfer from the airport or station to your hotel. You pay for the travel; we book it and handle everything around it. There is no commission on salary and no subscription. Hires confirmed less than 8 weeks before the season starts carry a supplement.
What if I never find the right person?
Then you never pay. Publishing a position, reviewing candidates, messaging them and interviewing them are all free, however many you consider. The charge exists only on the day you confirm someone.
What experience do candidates have?
It varies. Many are working their first season; others have already worked one or two. Their profile states it plainly, and you speak with them yourself before deciding. Seasonal hotels train on arrival, and what candidates bring is the willingness to be trained.
How is my hotel verified?
We check your VAT number against the European VIES register, and confirm that your contact address belongs to your hotel's own domain. If either cannot be confirmed automatically, we review your account by hand, and you can send us a document to support it. A position can be published once your hotel is verified.
